Prior to UX/UI, I practiced graphic design

I worked for many years as an art director, primarily in editorial for national magazines, then at a prominent nonprofit in the marketing and communications department. At each stop the audiences varied greatly, and I practiced design thinking to serve users where they are — whether they’re headed to a gala, marching up the state capitol, or parenting newborns.
